Auditions

Time to clock-in!

Representation matters. Ptarmigan Ptheatrics is committed to showcasing the diversity of our community, and to creating a space where people can feel comfortable to be themselves in every capacity. With this in mind, we encourage auditions from people of all races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, religious affiliations, and abilities, as these represent the audience we serve.

Based on the 1980 movie of the same name, 9 to 5 features lyrics and music by Dolly Parton. Join us as the alarm clocks ring and the sounds of coffee being poured fill the theatre!

See the full show synopsis and clips from the Broadway production at Music Theatre International.

Audition Requirements

Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your audition time, as you will be asked to fill out a short form so our artistic team can get to know you!

Auditionees are asked to come prepared with a song to sing from memory. It should be 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes in length. Choose a song you feel best shows off your voice - from any genre. Songs are to be sung acapella.

Following your song, auditionees will have a short conversation with our artistic team. Then auditionees will be asked to read lines from the show. No memorization necessary - scenes will be provided at time of the audition.

Dance auditions will be conducted in small groups. Please dress in comfortable clothing that is easy to move in.
